The State government on Monday issued orders for the release of Rs 6,900 crore for the implementation of Rythu Bandhu scheme in the ensuing kharif season which begins in June. The officials were instructed to ensure that the amounts are deposited into the farmers' bank accounts directly. From this year, the farmers will get Rs 5,000 per acre as incentive in every agricultural season.

Chandrashekar Rao has already announced the release of the funds during his speech at Telangana Formation Day celebrations on Sunday. The Chief Minister also announced a bounty of Rs 1 lakh towards loan waiver on the same occasion. As per the guidelines issued by the State Agriculture Principal Secretary Parthasarathi, farmers who have pattadar passbooks and ROFR pattas are entitled to get the benefit.
