Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav on Friday demanded an explanation from Union minister and TS BJP chief G. Kishan Reddy on what he did for Sanathnagar Assembly constituency after being elected Secunderabad MP. Yadav was speaking during his campaign in Padmaraonagar.
The BRS leader also said former minister Marri Shashidhar Reddy, and his father Marri Chenna Reddy, who had in the past represented Sanathnagar, did nothing for the constituency and it was only after the BRS government came to power that it witnessed development.
Opposition leaders were not even aware of how many bastis were there in Sanathnagar, he claimed. "I grew up here, I understand what the people need and the people too know that they can trust me to solve their problems," Yadav
said.
Shashidhar Reddy is expected to get the BJP ticket for Sanathnagar while Congress has picked Kota Neelima as its candidate. Yadav warned the people not to fall for the promises of Congress and BJP leaders.
Meeting voters during a padayatra in Bholakpur of Bansilalpet division, he assured residents at Harijan Basti that he would work to ensure that all eligible beneficiaries will receive Dalit Bandhu, Rs 3 lakh assistance under Gruhalakshmi scheme and two bedroom houses.
He said the government would build one lakh more houses for the poor after returning to power. As Sanathnagar MLA, he would ensure no section of society is discriminated against when it comes to government programmes and development.
