Governor ESL Narsimhan hosts State banquet dinner for President Pranab Mukherjee

Governor of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana ESL Narasimhan hosted a State banquet-dinner in honour of President Pranab Mukherjee at Raj Bhavan here on Tuesday night.

Mukherjee is here for his annual southern sojourn. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, his Telangana counterpart K Chandrasekhar Rao, Union Ministers Bandaru Dattatreya, Y S Chowdary and several other dignitaries from the two Telugu-speaking States attended the



event.

Tennis star Sania Mirza, badminton chief national coach Pullela Gopichand, shuttler and Olympic medallist PV Sindhu were also present on the occasion. It was after a long time that Naidu and Rao met each other and were seen having a lively chat.

The President’s southern sojourn began on December 22 and it would conclude on December 31. During the sojourn, he stays at Rashtrapati Nilayam, one of the Presidential Retreats, at Bollarum here.
