Honouring the word given to chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, Governor ESL Narasimhan is slated to visit the Kaleswaram project site on Saturday.
The project is located across the borders of Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh and is known to be Naxal dominated area. A high level team comprising senior police officers have already left to the spot to make sure there is no lapse in the security.
The governor along with his wife, Vimala Narasimhan, will fly to Kaleswaram from Begumpet on Saturday morning. He will visit the
famous Kaleswaram temple and participate in a puja. From 9 am to 5 pm, the governor will visit Kannepalli and Sundilla barrages. Later he will conduct an aerial survey to inspect the Goli Vada pump house and Sripada Yellampalli project sites.
From there he will leave for the Shayampet project site and personally inspect the pump house and surge pool works. In the evening, he will reach Laxmipur to inspect the works there. After completing the entire stretch, the governor will return to Hyderabad late evening.
