Governor T Soundararajan wishes TS on Bathukamma

Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan greeted the people of Telangana on the occasion of Bathukamma on Friday. “I have great pleasure to convey my warm greetings to the people of Telangana, especially the women, on the auspicious occasion of Bathukamma festival. Bathukamma symbolises the cultural spirit of Telangana and is characterised by gathering of flowers and different unique floral arrangements,” she said, in a message on the eve of



the festival.

Flowers such as gunuka poolu, tengedu poolu, banti, chamanti and nandivardhanam are arranged in beautiful patterns. The worship of the Goddess for prosperity, good health and fulfillment of desires is unique because of its association with flowers, she said, adding: “I wish the people of Telangana a happy and joyous Bathukamma festival”
