The State government on Friday announced hike in Dearness Allowance (DA) to its employees as Dasara bonanza. On Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s directive, the officials took the decision to offer increased DA to the employees increasing it from 22.008 percent to 24.104 per cent of basic pay from January 1.
In an order, the government said that the DA was effective from last January and extended the same to the employees of Zilla Parishad, Mandal Parishads, Gram Panchayats, Municipalities, Municipal Corporations, Agricultural Market Committees and Zilla
Grandhalaya Samithis, and work charged establishments who are drawing pay in a regular scale in the revised pay scales 2015. The increased DA will be given with September salary and remaining will be added to the GPF account.
According to information, teaching and non-teaching staff of aided institutions including aided polytechnics and universities who are drawing pay on a regular scale are eligible. Employees drawing the revised UGC pay scales 2006 will get DA hike from 132 per cent to 136 per cent of the basic pay and is effective from January 1.
