Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao received a grand welcome from the officials and priests of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) at Tirumala on Sunday. He was accompanied by his wife Shobha, daughter-in-law Shailima, grandchildren and other members of the family, in a special flight from Hyderabad and landed at Renigunta airport on Sunday evening.
At Tirumala, TTD executive officer Anil Kumar Singhal along with temple priests welcomed Chandrashekhar Rao and his family members in a traditional manner.
KCR offered prayers at ‘Srivari Padalu’ on the hills before heading to the guest house. After an overnight stay on the Tirumala hills, he will offer prayers to Lord
Venkateshwara in the wee hours on Monday and will return to Hyderabad in the afternoon.
Earlier upon his arrival at the airport, the Chief Minister was received by TTD joint executive officers KS Sreenivasa Raju and B Lakshmikantham and other officials. Chittoor Parliament member N Reddeppa, MLAs P Ramachandra Reddy, Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy, Bhumana Karunakar Reddy, C Ramachandra Reddy, K Narayana Swamy, K Adimulam, M Nawaz Basha and other YSRCP leaders also welcomed him.
En route to Tirumala, a large number of admirers from Andhra Pradesh decorated the road with huge flexi banners and posters welcoming Chandrashekhar Rao.
