Hyderabad: Telangana workers staying in Gulf countries working in foreign firms are urging the Government to introduce an NRI policy that would protect these workers employed in these foreign countries.

These Gulf workers will undertake 'Deeksha' (sit in ) of the same in front of the Nirmal district Collectorate next week on January 4, 2018. Bringing the government's notice to the rising issues employees face in these foreign countries, a senior manager working in Dubai, Krishna Donikeni has begun a signature campaign in Gulf countries targeting one Lakh workers. So far nearly 40,000



signatures have collected by him.

Workers from Telangana working in UAE Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi, Bahrain, Singapore and Malaysia have also signed the campaign.

Krishna Donikeni told few thousand people are expected to attend the 'deeksha' with at least a hundred people joining him on the day of 'deeksha' that is to held from 10 am to 4 pm.

This 'deeksha' is being organized by the Gulf Workers Avagahana Vedika, Dubai and UAE in order to enlighten the Indian Government of the hurdles the workers are subjected in these foreign countries.
