As part of the 547th Sri Guru Nanak Devji Birthday celebrations, a colourful ‘Nagar Keertans’ (Holy Procession) will be taken out from Gurudwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Guru Nanak Marg, Ashok Bazar, Afzalgunj on Thursday.
Prabhandak committee presidents, S Baldev Singh Bagga (GSS) and S Balbir Singh Bagga (GSGSS), S Avtar Singh (GSS) and S Gurdeep Singh Saluja (GSGSS) said that the Nagar Keertan wil be taken out on Thursday at 3.30 pm from Gurudwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Afzalgunj and will pass through Siddiambar Bazar, Jambagh, Putlibowli,Central Gurudwara Saheb Gowliguda and reach GSGSS
in the evening.
A large number of devotees from across the state will take part in the procession. Guru Granth Sahebji (revered holy scripture of the Sikhs) will be carried on a beautifully decorated vehicle along with ‘Nishaan Sahebans’ (religious flags) all along the procession.
The procession will be marked by the rendering of Shabad Keertans (holy hymns) by the Jatha Tera Jatha, Isitri Satsang and Keerthani Jathas of men and women. Besides that ‘Panj Pyaras’ (five beloved ones) in their traditional attire will be the cynosure of attraction in the procession.
