“Children are the future of nation. Teachers should take utmost care of children and strive for their wholesome development, as children spend most of their time with teachers after parents,” urged Deputy Chief Minister Mahmood Ali speaking at the celebrations appealing to teachers.He further said that as Telangana government is committed for the welfare of children, gurukuls are being set up in big



number for SCs, STs, BCs and Minorities.
Union Minister of State for Labour and Employment Bandaru Dattatreya urged people to protect and support girl child pointing out that while the ratio of girls to boys is 946:1,000 all over India, in Telangana it is 914:1,000.Children, teachers and officials of education, women and child welfare departments took part in the celebrations.
