The Haj pilgrims of first batch will start reporting at Haj Camp from 10 AM on Friday. The Telangana State Haj Committee has made elaborate arrangements for the stay and departure of 4,586 pilgrims from Hyderabad Embarkation Point. They include 2530 pilgrims from Telangana and 2056 from Andhra Pradesh.Visas of about 500 more pilgrims are under process and they too would leave for the holy journey from this Haj Camp.
Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali will flag off the first batch of pilgrims at Haj House on August 21 at 10 AM. They will board a special flight to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from Rajiv
Gandhi International Airport at 2.10 PM. Central Haj Committee chairman Chowdhary Mahboob Ali will also be present on the occasion. A total of 15 special flights are being operated for the Haj pilgrims. In view of possible increase in Haj quota, three additional flights may be arranged.
Meanwhile, arrangements have been made for accommodation of Haj pilgrims, both at Haj House and also in adjacent building. Minorities Welfare Department Secretary Syed Omer Jaleel, SHC Special Officer Prof.S.A.Shukoor and other senior officials inspected the arrangements on Thursday and expressed satisfaction.
