The Telangana State Haj Committee, in its meeting held here on Thursday, decided to make exemplary arrangements for the Haj Camp 2018 and better facilities to the Haj pilgrims.

The meeting was presided over by TSHC Chairman Mohammed Masiullah Khan presided over the meeting. The Committee observed that levy of GST and UDF are burden on the pilgrims, therefore representation should be made to the Union government to waive them.

Earlier, Executive Officer and Special Officer Prof. S. A. Shukoor welcomed the members and informed that this year around 8,000 pilgrims would leave for Haj from Hyderabad Embarkation Point, which include 5000 pilgrims from Telangana. It was decided to launch Vaccination Programme for the pilgrims throughout the state soon after Ramazan is



over. In Hyderabad vaccination would be launched in collaboration with the Princess Esra Hospital Charminar and the District Medical and Health Office, Hyderabad.

Waqf Board chairman Mohammed Saleem said that Waqf Board would extend all possible cooperation in conduct of Haj Camp. He proposed to visit the Haj Terminal to ensure the best arrangements and installation of Conveyor Belt for the convenience of the pilgrims in the return journey.

The Haj committee also decided to bring out a Haj Guide in Urdu language, containing useful information for Haj rituals and logistic arrangements.The meeting set up a four member Sub-Committee to look into the issues relating to staff and other matters.
