The number of pilgrims who have reached Mecca Masjid in Saudi Arabia has risen to 2,700. So far nine flights, with 300 pilgrims each, have reached Mecca safely, Telangana State Haj committee officials said.
The ninth flight was flagged off in the early hours of Sunday after Aamer Shakeel, MLA, Mohammed Masiullah Khan, chairman, State Haj Committee, Professor SA Shukoor, special officer at the Haj committee, and family
members who came to see the pilgrims off gave their blessings at Haj House.
Haj committee chairman Mohammed Masiullah Khan said, “Telangana is the only state where peace and integrity prevails. Pilgrims should pray for its maintenance.” Those present at the send-off requested them to pray for welfare of the people, and for promoting harmony, integrity and peace.
