Haj pilgrims Qurrah (Draw of lots) will be held at Haj House today

The Qurrah (Draw or lots) for selection of Haj pilgrims from Telangana in General Category will be held on March 22 (Tuesday), announced Telangana State Haj Committee Special Officer Prof. S. A. Shukoor in a press release here on Monday.

Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mohammed Ali will inaugurate the Qurrah at Haj House in Nampally at 11.30 AM. A total of 17,423 applications have been received for Haj 2016. Of them,



2,204 pilgrims have already been selected under various reserved categories. The SHC will select a total of 2,532 Haj aspirants out of 17,423 applications.

The Qurrah for selection of pilgrims of Andhra Pradesh will also be conducted at Haj House on Tuesday at 3 PM. AP’s Minorities Welfare Minister Palle Raghunath will inaugurate the Qurrah. This year Andhra Pradesh has been allotted a quota of 2,052 pilgrims.
