Hyderabad : Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao has appealed to the people to benefit from various welfare schemes being implemented by the TRS Government in Telangana State.
Speaking after distributing certificates among 570 farmers who went for free registration of ‘Plain Bianama’ in Jagdevpur mandal of Gajwel Assembly constituency on Sunday, Harish Rao said that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao has launched several schemes for the benefit of farmers. He said that the government has facilitated the free registration of agricultural lands which were purchased on ‘plain bianama’. He said nearly 11 lakh farmers would benefit from the
scheme.
Harish Rao also informed that the State Government has increased the amount in Kalyana Lakshmi/Shaadi Mubarak scheme from Rs. 51,000 to Rs. 75,116 from April 1 onwards. He said that the scheme to extend financial assistance to poor girls at the time of their marriage has so far helped lakhs of families. He said that the scheme was one of its kind in the entire country.
The minister said that the State Government was laying special focus on development of rural areas.
The function was also attended by Siddipet Joint Collector M. Hanumantha Rao, Gajwel RDO Vijender Reddy and other officials.
