Harish Rao launches Palle Purogathi App

Finance Minister, T Harish Rao has launched “Palle Purogathi” Mobile application, which was specially developed to track the progress that the villages achieved under Palle Pragathi programme, in Gajwel on Friday.

Addressing the preparatory meeting of second phase of “Palle Pragathi” Constituency level meeting  organised at Mahati Auditorium in Gajwel, the Minister has sought the experiences of elected representatives of Gram Panchayats during the first phase of the Palle Pragathi programme.

Rao has also discussed the action plan for the second phase of the programme , which commences on January 2, the Minister has asked the MPDOs to track the progress of the each and every work through Palle Purogathi mobile application. He has further informed them that the mobile application was specially developed to meet the needs of Siddipet district. 

Since the Panchayat Secretaries will upload the progress of each work, Rao has said that all the officials and public



representatives can track the progress of the works. He has instructed the officials to conduct video or audio conferences every evening to review the progress of the works. The Minister has said that the specially developed mobile application will send notifications on villages, which were lagging in progress.

Since there were set guidelines to make each village a model in development, Rao has said that they can also understand how they can make their village a model. Saying that many young Sarpanchs were got elected this time, the Minister has called upon to compete with each other to change the face of their village. Asking them to remove all the unused structures in the villages, Rao has instructed them to paint all the government buildings with the same colour.

He has also asked the officials to construct public toilets in villages besides ensuring their proper maintenance. The Minister has reviewed the department wise, and Mandal wise progress of the works.
