With Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy missing his deadline of March 31 to disburse Rythu Bharosa investment support to all farmers, former Minister and senior BRS MLA T Harish Rao has lashed out at the former for repeatedly deceiving farmers. He criticised the Chief Minister for his failure to deliver on the promised investment support within the deadline for the third consecutive time.

Harish Rao pointed out that Revanth Reddy made grand announcements on January 26 and in the Assembly budget session, assuring that investment support of Rs.6,000 per acre would be credited to farmers’ accounts by March 31. However, the deadline has passed, and farmers have been left disappointed once again.

“First, he promised to deliver by Dasara, but missed, then by Sankranti, and now by Ugadi. How many times will he mislead the farmers?” the BRS MLA questioned, calling the Congress government

anti-farmer.

The former Minister contrasted this with the BRS regime under former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, which ensured timely release of Rythu Bandhu funds soon after the crop sowing commenced. “While Chandrashekhar Rao provided timely financial support to farmers, Revanth Reddy’s government has only given them false assurances and failed to release funds even during the harvesting season,” he said.

Harish Rao reminded that Revanth Reddy deceived farmers repeatedly with regard to Rythu Bharosa, Indiramma Atmeeya Bharosa and also the crop loan waiver. He warned that the BRS would continue to hold the Congress accountable until every farmer received the promised investment support and crop loan waiver as promised in the Congress election manifesto.

“Dates and deadlines have changed, but the Congress’ electoral promises are yet to be delivered. We will not stop our fight for farmers,” he asserted.
