A two-judge bench of the Telangana High Court stayed an order of the Telangana State Human Rights Commission (TSHRC) directing the municipal authorities to demolish a cattle shed allegedly raised without permission. The bench of Chief Justice Alok Aradhe and Justice T. Vinod Kumar was dealing with a writ petition filed by Jagadeeshwar Reddy who



said that the action of the TSHRC was beyond its powers mentioned in Section 12 of the Protection of Human Rights Act, 1993. 

The bench making it clear that it is not for the SHRC to deal with matters pertaining to marital or civil disputes disposed the petition.
