Interim Vice-Chancellor Vipin Srivastava of the Hyderabad Central University (HCU) faced embarrassing situation when he visited the students’ agitation camp here on Wednesday.
Obstructing the interim VC, the students raised slogans ‘VC Go Back’. At one point of time, the students tried to attack the VC’s car. The police
and HCU security personnel sent Srivastava from the place of Agitation camp. On the other hand, SC, ST Teachers Forum made it clear that they will go on hunger strike extending support to the striking students if the University authorities failed to solve the demands of the students.
The HCU Student JAC made it clear that they would not withdraw their agitation till their problems were solved. They also revealed that they would meet President Pranabh Mukherjee in the February first week to submit a memorandum on their problems.
