Healthcare services for non-Covid patients at Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) took a hit on Thursday with contract and outsourcing employees of the tertiary hospital boycotting their regular duties demanding release of their salaries, which have been pending for the past few months.
The outpatient services, billing
section, token issuing wings and services at a few inpatient wings were affected by the boycott.
Senior officials from the hospital said efforts were on to contact the agencies that have recruited to the outsourcing staff so that the pending salaries could be released at the earliest.
