Health minister T. Harish Rao on Sunday said that each Assembly constituency in the state will have a 100-bed hospital to ensure that quality health care is provided at the local level.
The minister laid the foundation stone for a new hospital in Ellareddy of Kamareddy district. The hospital will start functioning by the end of the year.
The 100-bed super specialty hospital at Kamareddy is to ensure that locals will be able
to avail the best of facilities in the district and there was no need for rushing patients to Hyderabad.
Rao pointed out that each Assembly constituency now has a dialysis centre.
Meanwhile, the minister said that 85 per cent local reservation will be provided in the B category in private medical colleges across the state and 10 per cent reservation will be given to tribal students.
