With temperatures soaring beyond 40oC, almost all districts in Telangana were experiencing a gruelling summer. Hot weather is likely to continue during the weekend as heat wave conditions are forecast for 48 hours from Sunday.
Meanwhile, Adilabad recorded the highest temperature of 44oC in the past 24 hours (ending at 8.30 am on
Friday). Temperatures at other centres were: 42oC in Bhadrachalam, 43oC Nizamabad, 42oC Nalgonda, Medak, Mahabubnagar, Hanamkonda, Bhadrachalam and 41oC Hyderabad.
The maximum in minining areas of Kothagudem, Yellandu, Manuguru and Sathupalli was above 40oC. This is likely to increase in May.
