The IMD has extended the heatwave in the state till Saturday, a day after withdrawing it. On Thursday, the city recorded 43ºC but rain in some areas brought down temperatures in the evening. This was said to be due to the formation of thunder clouds.

Adilabad, Nizamabad, Mahbubna-gar, Medak, Karimnagar and Nalgonda on Thurs-day. The forecast also said there was a possibility of light to moderate rain and thundershowers. The highest maximum temperature of 45ºC was recorded at Nalgonda, Adilabad, Mahbubnagar, Medak, Ramagundam and Nizamabad.
