“Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and Quli Qutub Shah Urban Development Authority (QQSUDA) will be back with another similar entertaining evening at Charminar,” said a note released by the office of Arvind Kumar, Special Chief Secretary, Municipal Administration and Urban Development Department. The Telangana State Police Band that mesmerised the crowd with their tunes in the first event will be back to set the evening alight with their

instrumental music. This will be followed by a Sufi/ Ghazal performance to set the mood for the evening.

“These performances are planned keeping in mind the Azaan, Namaz and Pooja timings so that there is no disturbance to them,” said the note.

Besides, the showcase of talent, matka chai and other delicacies of the old city including several non-vegetarian dishes, chat, snacks, ice cream and desserts are something to look out for. For shoppers, things like handicrafts, artificial jewelry and bangles are on cards.

To promote green initiatives, a free sapling distribution programme which saw many takers in the first event will be set up. Meanwhile, elaborate arrangements have been made by the authorities which include setting up mobile toilets and parking arrangements.
