The Met department bulletin on Monday warned of heavy rain lashing isolated places in Adilabad, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Khammam, Warangal, Mahbubbnagar and Nalgonda districts for next three days as the low pressure area over the west-central Bay of Bengal, off north Andhra coast, lies over the west-central Bay and its adjoining areas of north coastal Andhra.
According to the forecast, the associated upper air cyclonic circulation extending up to mid-tropospheric levels tilting south-westwards is persisting. The axis of
monsoon trough at the mean sea level passes through Phalodi, Bikaner, Guna, Chandrapur centre of low pressure area and thence east-southeastwards to the east central Bay. Light to moderate rain/ thundershowers are likely at many places in Telangana from August 30 to September 1. No large change during the subsequent three days is the weather outlook.
The bulletin said rain occurred at a few places in Telangana with Nalgonda, Karimnagar, Khammam, Nizamabad and Warangal districts receiving heavy showers.
