State capital, which has been recording light to moderate rainfall in the last 10 days, is likely to receive heavy rainfall on Tuesday.
According to a weather warning issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), heavy rainfall is likely to occur in Hyderabad on Tuesday while heavy rain is very likely to occur at isolated places across the State on Tuesday and Wednesday.
On Monday, the city continued to record light rainfall in different areas. The maximum rainfall was of 16.8 mm till 5 pm in Shapur Nagar, according to the
Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS).
This was followed by Subash Nagar (16.8 mm), Bollaram (15.5 mm) Qutbullahpur (15.5 mm) and Gajularamaram (12.5 mm). TSDPS is expecting light to moderate rainfall at isolated places in the Greater Hyderabad region over the next three days.
On the other hand, Hyderabad is still facing a deficit rainfall. Against a normal rainfall of 352.6 mm from June 1 to August 12, city received 297.4 mm with a deficit of 16 per cent, according to IMD.
