Heavy rain predict for Hyderabad city

The city will witness very heavy showers over the next 48 hours, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said in its latest bulletin.

“Heavy to very heavy rainfall at a few places very likely to occur in all the districts of Telangana,“ reads the warning issued by the local weather office. These showers have been



attributed to a low pressure area that is expected to develop over Odisha and adjoining areas. This, the department said would come as a relief from the extended dry-spell that has hit the city and the state. In the last 24 hours, the city witnessed almost dry weather due to dry north-westerly winds blowing over the area.
