Early Monday at around 4:00 am, intense downpours began to batter several parts of the city.
According to the Telangana Development Planning Society (TDPS), Sardarmahal in the Malakpet circle received the highest rainfall of 59.3 mm, followed closely by Charminar’s Rooplal Bazar, which witnessed 58.0 mm of rainfall. Several other areas,
including Mekalmandi and Rein Bazar, witnessed over 50 mm of rainfall.
The city is expected to witness incessant rain throughout the day, according to TDPS. The GHMC (Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation) has been put on alert to monitor the situation and respond swiftly to any flooding or tree falls.
