Hyderabad city witnessed light to moderate rains on Tuesday with the peripheral areas drawing more rainfall in general.
However, the highest rainfall was recorded at Sardar Mahal in Moghalpura, old city, at 23.8 mm while the other central areas that received rainfall were Nampally (9 mm) and West Marredpally (17.5 mm).
Rainfall was recorded also at Malkajgiri (17.5 mm), Asmangarh (14.8 mm), Qutbullapur (12.5 mm), Monda Market (6.8 mm), LB Nagar (6.5 mm), Golkonda (6.0 mm) and Balanagar (5.0 mm).
Several areas did not receive any rainfall while others witnessed only spells of drizzles with the average rainfall recorded in the city on Tuesday was 3 mm. According to monthly averages, the city has recorded a rainfall deficit of 4 mm since June 1.

Coastal Andhra across Odisha extending up to 7.6 km above the mean sea level. The trough now runs from Odisha to south Tamil Nadu across coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema, the Met department bulletin said on Tuesday.
On June 12 there were thunderstorms with heavy rain in Komaram Bheem, Mancherial, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Bhadradri-Kothagudem, Mahabubabad, Khammam and Suryapet districts.

The forecast said light to moderate rain or thundershowers are very likely to occur at a few places in the State from June 13 to 16.
