The city will witness the last of the pre-monsoon activity this week before the monsoon hits the city on June 10, the Indian Meteorological Department said on Tuesday .
The Met office said: “Heavy rain is very likely to occur at isolated places in all the districts of Telangana from June 8June 10.“Over the last 24 hours, the city witnessed rainfall measuring 21 mm on the rain-gauges. These moderate spells occurred over the city after a long time and brought down the maximum temperature
below the 40-degree mark. On Tuesday , the maximum temperature was recorded at 39.1 degree Celsius. Now, according to weathermen, rains will increase over Telangana, courtesy of a trough extending from north coastal Andhra Pradesh to South Karnataka across Telangana.
“This would enhance the rain over both the Teluguspeaking states. Under the trough's influence there would be a few moderate to heavy showers over the capital city ,“ said an official from IMD Hyderabad.
