Two brothers out for dinner in Telangana's Hyderabad met with an accident when their high-end speeding BMW bike crashed on Saturday. Their two-wheeler rear-ended a car that was taking a U-turn near Madhupur.
During the accident, the youngster, identified as Chaitanya (22) was riding pillion without a helmet and thus paid for his life whereas his sibling, identified as Raju (24) sustained injuries as he was wearing a helmet.
Duo was heading out for dinner
As per the cops, the main cause of the accident was due to speeding by bike. The siblings were pursuing their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) courses from different colleges.
The shocking incident took place around 06:45 pm between Parvath Nagar and
NIA office when the duo was heading to the drive-in for dinner. While Chaitanya who was helmetless died on the spot, his sibling escaped with minor injuries.
Case lodged against bike rider
Commenting further on the case, sub-inspector K Rajendra said, "They started their journey from home and the accident happened about a km from the drive-in restaurant. There was no fault of the car driver and it looks that the bike was speeding. The bike is of 500 cc," as per the Times of India report.
Further probe revealed that the siblings hailed from East Godavari district in Andhra Pradesh. Following the incident, as per the car driver's complaint, a case was registered against the bike rider under section 304 a (negligence causing death) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
