Minister for NRI Affairs and IT KT Rama Rao today urged the Centre to  intervene with regard to removal of over 50,000 Telangana workers by Bin Laden company in Saudi Arabia in six months.

In a letter addressed to External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, KTR expressed concern that noted construction company of Bin Laden Group in Saudi has removed thousands of workers, who are denied salaries for about six



months. He urged Sushma Swaraj to take necessary steps to talk to her Saudi counterpart and officials to provide security and clear pending wages and make arrangement for smooth return.

“Our workers from Karimnagar, Medak, Nizamabad and Hyderabad districts are in Riyad, Jeddah, Mecca, Madina, Dubai and other places are put to untold misery of losing visas and hardship and are on warpath of protests for jobs and payment of wages. KTR also assured that the State government will extend all help and support to those who beat a retreat.
