The Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad has been put on high-alert following inputs from the Central security agencies about possible terror attacks.
The IB sounded the alert on Thursday and airport authorities have barred the entry of visitors and only passengers possessing boarding
passes were allowed into the airport after a thorough check.
Security at the airport was also increased after it was declared as a high-sensitive zone by the agencies. Along with the central security forces, a large number of local police were also deployed as part of bandobust at the airport.
