Hike in Legislators’ salaries, from Rs 1.25 lakh TO 3.5 lakh PER MONTH

      



Speaker S Madhusudhan Chary, Council Chairman Swamy Goud, Ministers T Harish Rao, E Rajender and floor leaders of all other parties, attended the meeting. The meeting after discussion has recommended increasing vehicle loans to Rs 40 lakhs from Rs 25 lakhs, and making effective the pensions to the spouses of the legislators after the latter’s death. Besides a rise in the pension to Rs 65,000 from Rs 50,000 per month to the former legislators, the committee recommended provision of health facilities without any cap on financial expenditure.
