Hyderabad: Union Home Minister Amit Shah has said Telangana plunged into debt trap despite the Centre giving over 2 lakh crore rupees to the state. He alleged that the TRS government in the state is an anti-farmer one.
Addressing a public meeting at Munugode in the Nalgonda district, the minister said the farmers in the state are being kept away from the Prime Minister’s Fasal Bima Yojana.
He assured that the interest of farmers will be protected if BJP is voted to power during the next elections in the state.
Mr Shah assured the people that Telangana will be developed like other states. He said the central government has reduced fuel prices twice and Telangana government has not bothered to slash VAT charges, which made the state as a costlier place for petrol and diesel in the country.
Union Minister for Tourism G Kishan Reddy, among others, spoke in the meeting. Congress legislator from Munugode, who resigned recently, K Rajgopal Reddy joined the BJP in the presence of the home minister.
