The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) has released Rs 3.47 crore development charges to the panchayats to take up development works in the gram panchayats located along Outer Ring Road (growth corridor)
HMDA metropolitan commissioner T Chiranjeevulu handed over funds cheques to the panchayat secretaries of 15 gram panchayats on Monday.
The HMDA collects development deferment charges from the developers while permitting buildings in the growth corridor.
The funds that
have been allocated to panchayats include Maheshwaram, Keesara, Shamirpet, Dundigal, Narsingi, Gandipet and Abdullapurmet. Earlier Adhibhatla, Bowrampet, Gowdevelly, Kandlakoya, Kollur, Poppalguda, Mallampet, Rampally, Rajendranagar, Kokapet, Kongara Kalan, Manchirevula, Pedda Amberpet, Sultanpur and Raviryala.
The commissioner said the HMDA had released funds over Rs 10 crore to various panchayats in four phases. HMDA chief accounts officer Sharath Chandra was present in the meeting.
