The Hyderabad Metropolitan development Authority (HMDA) projected a budget of Rs 2139.15 crore for the financial year 2017-18. The budget was approved at the 22nd Executive Committee meeting held at HMDA headquarters in Tarnaka on Thursday. The upcoming financial year’s budget is Rs 490 crore more than the current year. The allocation for the revenue expenditure, which includes salaries of employees, is 631.59 crore and the capital expenditure which would go towards infrastructure projects is 1,507.56 crore.
According to the project budget, the HMDA under Capital Expenditure head has allocated Rs 5 crore for Hyderabad Airport Development Authority (HADA) Roads where as there were no allocations for same in the financial year 2016-17. The HMDA has allocated Rs 5.5 crore or foot-over bridge at
Shankarpuram.
The expenditure for Telanganaku Harita Haram has been enhanced from Rs 5.68 crore to Rs 385 crore. HMDA has allocated Rs 6 crore for development of ecological park at Kothwalaguda as against Rs 0.32 crore in 2016-17 financial year. Besides this, the HMDA has also allocated Rs 1000 crore for land Acquisition at Kandiakoya, Rs 700 crore has been allocated for payment of land Acquisition for 13 transit oriented Growth centers.
The HMDA has allocated Rs 5 crore for transit oriented Nodal Development (TOD) at Khanamet, Rs 2 crore for Development of logistics park at Batasingaram, Hyderabad on Public Private Partnership (PPP), Rs 1.5 crore for Development of logistics park at Mangalapally, Hyderabad on PPP and Rs 2 crore for Development of Intercity Bus Terminal (ICBT) at Miyapur on PPP.
