HMDA tells applicants to pay up

As many as 17,000 applicants who have got their applications processed did not pay the Land Regularisation Scheme fee. The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority has made clear that it would not update status of any LRS applications both manually and online until pending dues are cleared.

Out of 1,02,242 approved applications, as many as 17,112 applicants are yet to pay clear the processing fee to obtain the LRS



certificate.

Officials claimed that non-payment was either due to lack awareness or irregularities indulged by the middle man.

He said that even though intimation about the processed application has given the HMDA would once again alert the applicants.  The HMDA has received `975.5 crore from LRS applicants and NALA (Non Agricultural Land Assessment).
