(HMR) acquired 1370 sq. yards of petrol pump land opposite Osmania Medical
College at Putlibowli junction. This will facilitate in providing parking and
circulation area for Sultan Bazaar Metro Rail station as well as HMR Relief
& Rehabilitation (R&R) complex. Since this land is abutting the R&R
complex, the acquisition will provide a direct access from Koti-Putlibowli main
road to the Complex.
The taking over the possession of the property was held up due to Court litigation since a long time. Today judgment was delivered vacating the stay on taking over the possession of the land. The acquisition proceedings were conducted as per the norms and the property is taken over duly paying the compensation of Rs. 15.22 crore and today HMR started dismantling the structures on the premises.

constructed by HMR on 2,000 sq yards land with 70,000 sq ft plinth area (2 cellars + ground floor + 4
upper floors) housing 80 shops and 100 hawker platforms is completed in all
respects. The Complex was constructed based on the best design selected in a
competition conducted by HMR among the reputed architects across the country
reflecting the character and features of Sultan bazaar.
Taking over of this above property will enhance the potential of the complex, apart from giving wide approach and better parking facility, and will also stimulate similar atmosphere of Sultan Bazaar market by giving better rehabilitation facility for traders’ community.
