The Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL) will soon launch a Whatsapp facility for commuters to lodge instant complaints regarding any nuisance in the Metros.
HMRL Managing Director NVS Reddy said this facility would aid in detaining those who create nuisance and inconvenience to fellow commuters in Metros. The move comes in the wake of a video of an individual making nuisance in a train in an inebriated condition reportedly on September 8.
“Though, he was not that drunk, he pretended to be drunk for drawing attention. This individual stood firmly
and took a video as well. By the time some passengers complained at the next station, he got down and slipped away,” Reddy said, adding that many persons in inebriated condition were prevented by security from boarding Metro trains.
Reddy also said that at the same time, there were requests to allow people who consume alcohol, to board the Metro, as long as they do not create nuisance.
“We will anyway create a Whatsapp facility soon for commuters to make instant complaints,” he added.
