Homeguard Nagam Ravinder tragically passed away today after succumbing to severe burn injuries. Ravinder had attempted suicide on Tuesday due to not receiving payment for two months.
In response to Ravinder's death, Home Guards working with the Telangana State Police department have gathered outside Osmania Hospital. They have been advocating for the regularisation of their services and other basic needs for an extended period.
Veera Srinivasulu told that there are approximately 2000 homeguards in the traffic department, and the issues they face are
prevalent among all homeguards. Despite the government's issuance of safety measures, they have not been implemented effectively. Additionally, many homeguards lost their lives due to COVID-19, and their families were left without assistance and support.
We are demanding the immediate implementation of the promise government made that permanent employees to ensure job security and stability for themselves and their families.we have been serving diligently but facing numerous challenges without adequate support. He said.
