Hyderabad: Home Minister of Telangana State, Mohammed Mahmood Ali promised that the National Register of Citizens (NRC) will not be implemented in the State.

Addressing a public assembling, the minister said that he had educated the Union Minority Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi that the NRC exercise won't be directed in the State.

Making his stand understood over the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) 2019, Mahmood Ali said that from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan however persecuted Hindus from the whole world ought to be given



citizenship. 

Prior, Kerala and West Bengal clarified that CAA won't be executed in the states.

Yesterday, the Kerala Government has moved the Supreme Court challenging the amended law. It became the first state to move the apex court.Kerala government said the CAA violates the constitution and strikes at the foundation of India's secular and democratic principles. The resolution passed by the state Assembly against CAA has been joined to the petition.

It may be mentioned that protests are taking place across the country against the controversial law.
