Home Minister N.Narasimha Reddy inaugurates foot-over-bridge at Banjara Hills

The Mayor​ along with Home Minister N. Narasimha Reddy inaugurated a new FOB constructed at Muffakam​ Jah College, Road ​No 2 ​in ​Banjara Hills ​here ​on Friday.

Mayor Bonthu Rammohan ​has ​said ​that ​50 Foot Over Bridges will be constructed in different areas across the city to ensure pedestrian safety.Speaking on the occasion, Rammohan said the 50 FOBs will be constructed in coordination with ​the ​Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority and Traffic police.

Focus will be



on constructing the FOBs in areas ​having educational institutes and at junctions with high traffic.​The new FOB ​in Banjara hills, ​which is equipped with elevators​,​ was constructed by Prakash Arts Private Limited ​at a cost of Rs.2.5 crore.

Home Minister N Narasimha Reddy said the elevators ​would work round the clock for the ​convenience of ​pedestrians. This apart​,​ ​security and surveillance cameras have also been installed to ensure safety of users​ round the clock​.
