Hyderabad Airport features among World's top three airports for seventh year

GMR’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) here has featured among the world’s top three airports for the seventh year in a row in ACI ASQ ranking, it was announced on Tuesday.

Announcing winners for Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Award, 2015, the Airports Council International (ACI) declared Hyderabad as third best airport in the world, in 5-15 Million Passengers Per Annum (MPPA) Category.

ACI ASQ is the world’s most renowned and premier passenger service benchmarking programme for airports globally, GMR Hyderabad International Airport Limited (GHIAL) said in a statement.

Annum,” said S.G.K. Kishore, CEO, GHIAL, which operates and manages the Hyderabad airport.

“It is a moment of great pride for us since we have had the rare honour of being ranked among the Global Top 3 Aairports from the very first year of operations and this year’s award marks the 7th year in a row that we have won this recognition,” he said.

The ACI Airport Service Quality (ASQ) programme is unique as the airport industry’s only global benchmarking programme measuring passenger satisfaction in real time while passengers are at the airport.

Hyderabad Airport will receive the award at the ASQ Awards Ceremony is scheduled to take place during April 2016 as a part of the 2016 ACI Asia-Pacific Regional Assembly in Gold Coast, Australia.
