The commercial operations of the Hyderabad-Bengaluru Vande Bharat train is set to start from September 25 (Monday). The semi-high-speed train connecting the two tech cities will reduce the travel time by around two hours.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to inaugurate the Hyderabad-Bengaluru Vande Bharat train virtually on Sunday.
The train which is scheduled to operate from Yeshwantpur in Bengaluru to Kacheguda in Hyderabad, is going to be Karnataka’s third Vande Bharat Express. At present, the state has
two Vande Bharat trains plying between Dharwad-Bengaluru and Mysuru-Bengaluru-Chennai.
The Hyderabad-Bengaluru Vande Bharat train is expected to take 8.5 hours for a one-way trip, reducing the journey time by approximately two hours. The train that will be operated by the South Central Railway is set to clock 71 kmph during the journey. The semi-high-speed train will have eight coaches, out of which seven will be chair cars and one will be executive class.
The train completed its trial run successfully on Thursday.
