Early mornings in the city are embracing a mild winter warmth, as minimum temperatures in most areas edged upward on Wednesday, with the lower recordings being above 20 degrees Celsius.
Hasthinapuram, however, held onto a crisp 19.1 degrees Celsius, standing out as the coldest pocket in the area. Humidity stayed on the higher side on Wednesday, peaking at 64 per cent in the morning before dipping slightly to 53 per cent by afternoon.
The city’s average minimum temperature rose slightly to
22.4 degrees Celsius, about 0.6 degrees Celsius higher than the seasonal norm—a gentle warming trend likely to continue into the weekend, with early morning temperatures expected to linger around 23 degrees Celsius. Light rain or drizzle may visit a few neighborhoods on Thursday and Friday, though the week ahead promises mostly dry days, with daytime highs comfortably between 31-32 degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile, in the State, the lowest minimum temperature of 12.9 degrees Celsius was recorded at Sirpur (U) (Kumuram Bheem).
