The sleuths of Hyderabad task force police on Monday arrested as many as 148 people after registering 107 cases for indulging in illegal business of prohibited Chinese manja.
As many as 7,334 Chinese manja bobbins, all worth Rs.90 lakh were seized from the possession of the arrested persons. Keeping in view the past experiences
and incidents, the City Police Commissioner CV Anand alerted all the task force teams and law and order personnel well in advance about the harm to be caused by the manja.
Accordingly, seven teams headed by Task Force DCP YVS Sudeendra and Additional DCP Ande Srinivasa Rao carried out raids and booked 107 cases and arrested 148 people.
