Hyderabad Commissioner of Police, C V Anand on Monday apologized and withdrew his remarks made on certain sections of the media during an interaction on Sunday. The top cop acknowledged and regretted losing his cool and getting provoked by questions thrown at him during an interaction session related to Allu Arjun controversy with media persons on Sunday.

“I apologize for losing my cool when asked continuous provoking questions on ongoing investigations and making unnecessary general remarks about national media. I feel bad that I got provoked and it was wrong and should have kept calm.

I withdraw my remarks wholeheartedly (sic),” C V Anand in his personal X (formerly Twitter) account posted.

Earlier on Sunday, in a widely distributed video, during an informal interaction with media persons, Anand lost his cool and alleged “I know national media and how it behaved. All bought over. No shame.. Bought over. I am telling you this…. Yes, please go ahead,” Anand said, and started to leave the venue. Later he again commented “That’s my understanding of your behavior (national media),” and left the scene.
