Hyderabad CP CV Anand holds meeting to curb DJ, firecracker use in religious processions

City Police Commissioner C V Anand on Thursday held a round table conference over the use of DJ systems and firecrackers during religious processions.

In the meeting local public representatives, police officials of the rank of Inspector and above, representatives of different committees who organize religious processions and government officials participated.

During the meeting Hyderabad CP explained to the gathering about the difficulties faced by not only various government departments but also the general public due to the uncontrolled use of DJ Systems and fire crackers in various religious processions.

C V Anand, told them about the problems being faced in police bandobast due to the extremely high sound volumes leading to break down of



communication systems and also the dangers in using firecrackers haphazardly and in uncontrolled amounts. Use of these DJ systems has also led to severe health problems among the public, he said.

CP, Hyderabad made it clear that strict legal action will be taken against those persons who violate these instructions regarding use of DJ System and fireworks in all religious processions.

The speakers agreed with the seriousness of the problem regarding DJ System

and use of firecrackers in religious processions and supported all preventive measures. Further the organizers of various religious processions shared their opinion and agreed to organize awareness camps and encourage devotees to celebrate all the festivals in a spiritual manner and peacefully.
