Hyderabad experienced the heavy rainfall since Wednesday night, which went on till early Thursday morning. Several localities in the city, including Hayathnagar, Uppal, Saroornagar and Saidabad received heavy rains overnight.
Meanwhile, Bandlaguda, Uppal received the maximum rainfall of 212.5 mm, followed by Vanasthalipuram, which witnessed 192.3 mm rain. Kapra, Serilingampally, Khairatabad, Golconda and Marredpally also experienced moderate rains.
Hyderabad has received an excess rainfall of 43.9 per cent rainfall — of 243.4 mm — in July so far, and the experts at Telangana State Development Planning Society forecast that there can be light to moderate rain at
isolated places in the city in the next two days.
The maximum temperature in the city is expected to be around 28 to 30 degree Celsius, while the minimum temperature will range between 20 to 22 degree Celsius.
According to the forecast by Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Hyderabad, the city will witness cloudy sky throughout the day, accompanied with light showers at isolated places.
Several other districts including Rangareddy, Medchal-Malkajgiri, Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri, Jangaon, Rajanna Sircilla and Jagtial also received heavy rainfall. Chegunta in Medak received the highest rainfall of 227.5 mm on Wednesday.
